When a disaster destroys lives, our emergency relief team is on the scene. HELFENDE HÄNDE is prepared to provide help within 48 hours – anywhere in the world.
When, for example, a devastating earthquake shook southern Turkey and killed tens of thousands, our team immediately knew: We have to go! Just a few days later, our responders were on the ground – with weatherproof clothing, emergency equipment, and the firm determination to save lives.

In February 2023, two severe earthquakes struck southeastern Turkey and northern Syria. Our project partners travelled at short notice, procured regional relief supplies (mattresses, blankets, drinking water, food) and, together with local teams, provided support especially in remote locations.
This is how we work in every deployment – whether after earthquakes, flooding, or the outbreak of war. Our teams are always ready to respond to support people in the greatest need.
Every second counts
We procured relief supplies directly in the region, organised transport to hard-to-reach areas, and distributed clean drinking water, food, and blankets to affected families – without detours, without bureaucracy.
